Easy Low Fat Recipe Omelet
This easy low fat recipe omelet is a perfect fit for your quick weight loss meal plan.
No major effort is required to have a quick and satisfying breakfast. It only takes about 10 minutes to prepare this breakfast treat and it’s delicious!
Here's what you'll need:
- 2 egg whites
- 1 Tbsp cut scallions
- 2/3 cup shredded frozen hash browns
- Cooking spray or Olive Oil
- Salt and Pepper (to taste)
- Salsa (optional)
- Catsup (optional)
Preparation:
- Coat a non-stick skillet with a little olive oil and heat;
- Add hashbrowns and cook about 5 minutes (brown both sides);
- Remove hashbrowns from heat;
- Crack eggs and separate the egg whites in a bowl;
- Whip egg whites with a fork until fluffy, stir in salt and pepper and set aside;
- Coat another non-stick skillet with a little olive oil and heat;
- Add scallions and cook about 1 minutes;
- Pour in egg whites and cook until firm (about 1 ½ minutes or until light brown on bottom);
- Add hashbrowns making a strip across the egg;
- Fold egg over and remove to serving plate.
I usually top this delicious easy low fat omelet with salsa for a little flavor boost, but my husband likes to top his with catsup. Garnish with fresh tomato wedges for a complimentary taste treat.
