Easy Low Fat Recipe Omelet

This easy low fat recipe omelet is a perfect fit for your quick weight loss meal plan.


No major effort is required to have a quick and satisfying breakfast.

It only takes about 10 minutes to prepare this breakfast treat and it’s delicious!

Here's what you'll need:

  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 Tbsp cut scallions
  • 2/3 cup shredded frozen hash browns
  • Cooking spray or Olive Oil
  • Salt and Pepper (to taste)
  • Salsa (optional)
  • Catsup (optional)

Preparation:

  1. Coat a non-stick skillet with a little olive oil and heat;
  2. Add hashbrowns and cook about 5 minutes (brown both sides);
  3. Remove hashbrowns from heat;
  4. Crack eggs and separate the egg whites in a bowl;
  5. Whip egg whites with a fork until fluffy, stir in salt and pepper and set aside;
  6. Coat another non-stick skillet with a little olive oil and heat;
  7. Add scallions and cook about 1 minutes;
  8. Pour in egg whites and cook until firm (about 1 ½ minutes or until light brown on bottom);
  9. Add hashbrowns making a strip across the egg;
  10. Fold egg over and remove to serving plate.

I usually top this delicious easy low fat omelet with salsa for a little flavor boost, but my husband likes to top his with catsup. Garnish with fresh tomato wedges for a complimentary taste treat.
